relationships. It must be earned and maintained with consistent actions. But building trust and feeling like your partner is trustworthy is not always easy for those who have had their trust betrayed. Trust may seem like an obscure concept, difficult to define. Sometimes you can’t tell if you truly trust someone, especially when you have no past experience to base it on. Trust isn’t an emotion. It’s a learned behavior that we gain from past experiences. It is hope and dependability, and putting confidence in someone. Trust is a risk. But you can’t be successful when there’s a lack of trust in a relationship that results from an action where the wrongdoer takes no repentance or responsibility to fix the mistake.

Unfortunately, we’ve all been victims of betrayal. Whether we’ve been stolen from, lied to, misled, or cheated on, there are different levels of losing trust, some more devastating than others. Regaining trust can seem as likely as winning the lottery. You may want to have faith in your partner again, but when it comes down to it, you simply don’t know how to start regaining trust in a relationship.

Sometimes people simply can’t trust anymore – they’ve been too badly hurt and they can’t bear to be that vulnerable again. It’s understandable, but if you’re willing to build trust in a relationship again, we have some tips to get you on the right path.

Learn to really trust yourself
If you don’t trust yourself, meaning your ability to have good judgment and to make good choices, how can you trust someone else? Having confidence in yourself will help you make better choices because you feel more capable and can discern what the best outcome would be for your well-being.

Just keep in mind that once your trust has been violated, your defenses start working overtime to protect yourself. Pay closer attention to your instincts and keep working on building trust in yourself.

Grieve
When a loved one dies, the natural grieving process tends to come in five stages: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. These five stages can also occur when you lose trust in someone. Don’t fight any of these stages. You’ll usually get through all of them – with time. Forgiveness can also be added as the sixth stage in regards to trust. If you can find it in your heart to forgive, then you’ll be able to release anger and hurt.

Stop labeling yourself the victim
If you’ve been betrayed, you are the victim of your circumstance. But there’s a difference between being a victim and living with a “victim mentality.” At some point in all of our lives, we’ll have our trust tested or violated.

Some people choose to wallow in the sting of betrayal while others make an effort to overcome it. If you choose to become a wallower, you will stifle your ability to truly heal because you’ll end up angry and blaming everyone else for something you actually have more control over than you think.

You didn’t lose “everything”
When we’re severely betrayed, such as being cheated on in a relationship, we tend to feel like we have lost everything that means anything to us.
Once trust is lost, what is left? Instead of looking at the situation from this hopeless angle, look at everything you still have and be thankful for all of the good in your life. Seeing the positive side of things doesn’t mean you’re ignoring what happened. Instead, it’s a healthy way to work through the experience to allow room for positive growth and forgiveness.

Keep your expectations high
Avoid situations that share the same pattern of circumstance where your trust was violated. On the flip side, it’s also important to recognize that just because you’ve been violated before doesn’t mean it will automatically happen again. You have to stop the harmful belief that any new relationship will end up the same way. If you fall into this way of thinking, not only will you sell yourself short, but you may also throw away a great possibility because you’re too scared of being hurt again. Also, remember that when you give someone the best, you deserve the best in return. Don’t settle for anything less.

Losing trust in someone can have a devastating effect on your relationship, as well as your sense of self-worth, but building trust in a relationship again is possible. It takes a willingness to work on both yourself and your betrayer, but trust can be won back. And when trust in a relationship is regained, it is truly healing.

im here again:)

yeah~ gona rant again..
today had my Understanding Test 3(cold chain management module )in school in da morning.
Guess wad?!!!!!
it was..=.= GG
the calculations were reversed thinking..
and with the amount of time i left , its simply IMPOSSIBLE!
so wad i did is to input the formulas and get 1 mark for that.:)

i couldn't sleep the whole night.
INSOMMIA AGAIN!~
HEADACHE!~
simply i just couldn't have the security yet.
well..its all about building up the trust and everything takes 2 hands to clap,aren't they?
if things are meant to be simple, then why would someone came up with " difficult?"
I must be strong no matter what..
i must try to be more independent this time..
this exam period shall be a test to us too..

tml's having another Understanding Test 3(Warehouse management) in da morning 8.30!!
tell me WHOSE BRAIN ACTUALLI ACTIVATES AT THAT TIME!
and the lifts were all full loaded zz

alrites, got to study 2 more topics and bathe b4 i head to school again to dance..
oh yea, 5th sept is my dance competition at Zouk~

happy B-Birthday SINGAPORE..

Friday went over to bf's friend's bd and then stayed over at bf's hse.

sat-went with his family to ThaiPan at Changi ..waited for 1hr for dishes to be served..

the decos all were average,food were...2/5

but i love their KANGKONG BEST!

then stayed at his hse for 1 more day...

then middle of night received a call..daniel:)

daniel and lydia came back from KL 1 day in advance & their family no one at home thus coming over to bf's hse to stay over .

once they reach bf's hse, we walked to a coffee shop and had supper there..cabbed back cus..realli too far!

Sun-woke up and went downstairs, his hse had a short circuit..

everyone were busy finding the cause of it..

then his bro,brother-in-law,him,me played mj while waiting for the power to get back...

n heng ar..his elder bro realised tt the hanging chandelier was abt to drop!..

so ...tts the caused of power tripped..THE WIRE..

then in the middle of mj, his sis called his bro in law and bro in law walked out of the hse and quickly go to the road n find his sis..cus..car accident..

phew~! luckily nth happen to his sis..only car got knocked..

then we went there to see what happened too...

so when everyth's settled, we walked back and daniel lydia gg back home le..

bid them gdbye and went to watch tv..

ard night time,7plus.. his dad drove us to The burk or buck bar restaurant :had clayfish spag, chicken chop,clayfish horfun,asam mee goreng, wedges,wings,beer,plum soda.

chilled there..chatted..watched tv.

then shortly after tt, went back ,took my bag n his dad drove me and his sis+bro in law home.(woodlands)..

wheee~ im home!!!! i stil kinda miss him..haha..

i dint take pics..cus i don have camera phones..sian... anyone kind enuff to spare me some camera phone?

hey its me!
heres some short updates:

2 weeks ago, i attended K-lock's bd at balestier condo.
wow..amazing...got loads dancers there..n basically i saw all of them b4;)
wheee...lovess..
lizard acc me go too.sweet of him,yeah..:D

N heres the LCL lockdown battle last Sunday at Studio Wu.
i got into top 15 and well..i am fortunate to say that i've to go thru 2 times of auditions due to some errors and im glad to emerge from the other 2 contestants;)
u guys did well too!! no worries yea...all of us have to continue to lock lock :)

i lost my round to Diane, a super cute girl who started locking nt long ago;)
she have great potential i tell u:)
another person...TYRON!!
hes is amazing. i realli realli have to comment that he is realli courageous and realli willing to give a try for the battle:)

A must read!!

While a man was polishing his new car, his 4 yr old son picked up a stone and scratched lines on the side of the car. In anger, the man took the child's hand and hit it many times not realizing he was using a wrench.

At the hospital, the child lost all his fingers due to multiple fractures.
When the child saw his father.....with painful eyes he asked, 'Dad when will my fingers grow back?' The man was so hurt and speechless; he went back to his car and kicked it a lot of times.

Devastated by his own actions.......sitting in front of that car he looked at the scratches; the child had written 'LOVE YOU DAD'.
The next day that man committed suicide. . .

Anger and Love have no limits; choose the latter to have a beautiful, lovely life & remember this: Things are to be used and people are to be loved.
The problem in today's world is that people are used while things are loved.

Let's try always to keep this thought in mind: Things are to be used,
People are to be loved.
